The setting is fantastic the rooms are fitted out like a 5-star hotel only you also get space and a well-equipped kitchen. (also very clean). Service was remarkable and the staff are super helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the area.

In addition to the amazing location (short walk to lake front, footbridge and church), the suite felt like a high-end home, with many small touches to make your stay relaxing and luxurious. The suite was very well-equipped. New construction, high-end appliances, tasteful furniture/ rugs/ decor, the whirlpool tub, multiple types of gourmet coffee, fresh milk at check-in were all appreciated. Although not directly on the lake, the view could not be beat. Our brief interactions with both the hosts at check-in and check-out were very pleasant. I wish there were more places to stay like Grand Suites in other parts of the world!

A streamlined, and efficient service – from enquiring about accommodation, to booking, through to check-in. The rooms were well furnished, and well serviced. Staff members encountered were friendly, informative and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable stay – looking forward to returning.

Clean, comfortable, great views and friendly, accommodating hosts. The location was great when the weather cleared in the morning and we were able to enjoy an early morning visit to the lake and Church of the Good Shepherd. We will hopefully visit again in better weather for stargazing. Many thanks.

Stayed for two nights, two couples, so we had a two bedroom unit. Check in was easy, payment was simple to split between the couples, and the unit was clean and well appointed for our needs. Great view out across the lake and all within 5 mins walking to the shops and church. If we get to Tekapo again we would stay here.

Overall the stay was great. Your suites are not only beautiful but very luxurious and well appointed. The only issue we had was the lack of communication regarding a planned power outage in which you decided not to use your back-up generator. This meant a sleepless night from 1am-5am as my wife’;s c-pap machine (which helps her breathing) was not able to function.

We stayed two nights st Grand Suites and it was absolutely sublime! The rooms are stunning, the views are incredible and we were so well looked after by our hosts. We wanted for nothing.. We loved it so much. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.. The rooms are so beautifully decorated and comfortable. Loved it. Hope to go back one day soon.

We stayed at the Grand Suites this week. The facilities and room we stayed in were superb. Spacious, clean and very warm with a great view.

The location is is very convenient, with the historical church, shops and restaurants an easy walk. Look forward to staying there again.

Dave and Sue hosted 16 couples at the Grand Suites for a weekend away. They were superb hosts, they looked after our every need and were continually wanting to help and ensure we were happy. The rooms are beautiful, extremely spacious and very well fitted out with spectacular views. We couldn’t have been happier and would highly recommend staying at the Grand Suites Tekapo. Thank you again Dave and Sue for your top class service and thoughtfulness- it was much appreciated.

We had the pleasure of staying at Grand Suites a week ago. We already want to go back. The apartment was simply beyond our expectations. Comfy, stylish, amazing amenities and super clean. We could not have asked for more and we certainly weren’t expecting it to be as amazing as it was! We only wished we stayed longer! Grand Suites is the best hotel of our New Zealand trip. My partner and I really loved this hotel. The owner is a very friendly person. The hotel’s design is modern, fitting our aesthetic, and the beds are comfortable. It is very close to the Church of the Good Shepherd and the town. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night. Next time we visit Tekapo, we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Highly recommended for tourists.

Lovely room. All was perfect. But we did wish the fireplace was real. May we also suggest your own hot tub/ spa? That would have been heavenly!

Grand Suites is lovely. Great location, decor, comfort with everything you need. Hosts are outstanding. So friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Loved the styling and the views. Easy access to town..very walkable. Looking forward to staying there again.

Very nice place, well located.. All the advice provided by Sue were very useful…and we were upgraded to a beautiful apartment, What else ! the bathroom was very luxurious with an awesome shower. The kitchen was well equiped but we didn’t use it. the only downside, but I’m a light sleeper…the noise of the lorries driving through the village at 3 in the morning… definitively a place to stay for few nights..

I have traveled a lot in business and for pleasure, and as an architect I found the suites provided were of a very high quailty. Not only spacious, but the details of what was provided were very helpful in making our stay comfortable. Traveling every day here in New Zealand you pretty much just live out of your suitcase, and I liked they had a platform to put the suitcases on, rather than just having them on the floor. There were plenty of plugs for charging electronics, and sufficient lighting at the bed for reading. The premises are finely detailed with quality furnishings, and I just can’t say more. Being that Lake Tekapo has a population of 558, I expected much less. Thanks for the great stay.

I stayed here recently on a business trip and was so impressed. Sue and Dave are friendly and attentive hosts. The room we had was luxurious – everything was high quality from the appliances to the bathroom fittings. The views were incredible from our 2 bedroom apartment and the beds SUPER comfy. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

I stayed here last minute after the original hotel I had booked in the area was less than satisfactory. I had a warm welcome which cheered me right up and the room was so luxurious and well appointed that my only regret was not booking here in the first place. Stay here – treat yourself to a stay in this gorgeous accommodation with spectacular views!

Great apartment but also a big disappointment. Definitely many more stars than three for the suite in terms of style, appointment and comfort. However, we were looking forward to sitting in the unit with a fabulous view of Lake Tekapo. Our two bedroom second floor unit was at the far end of the complex and the view was nothing like any of the internet photos. Call me fussy if you like, but I thought I was paying for a decent lake view to enjoy and not simply a water glimpse (albeit with some mountains). Make sure to request a decent view! The client views are those lucky enough to have had a “wow” view. Our reality, for the same price, was disappointing.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night in this wonderful accommodation. We stayed in the one bedroom unit and it was huge! The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom was very luxurious with an awesome shower and the big bed was so comfy! And did I mention the stunning view at the lake from the nice living room already? The hosts were very, very nice and welcoming and even made a dinner reservation at the T.L.V. restaurant (which was great btw) for us. We highly, highly recommend!
