I spent three nights here with my mum which was one of the best choices I made during the trip to New Zealand.

The unit is spacious, grand, clean and cozy with necessary facilities equipped. We cooked, we watched stars at the balcony and tried to wait for the aurora in bed. People say that one or two days in Tekapo is enough, for me, living in Grand Suits Tekpo for three nights are just perfect to enjoy the perfect view and relax. We enjoyed the lake view most of the time in the unit and felt chilled. We even had a day that staying at true unit for a whole day which was totally worth for me.

My sister and I stayed for two nights, and enjoyed our stay greatly! Clean, quiet, tidy and splendid accommodation. Already looking forward for my next stay in Lake Tekapo Quality Accommodation Grand Suites. Thanks Team!

Our suite was TRULY Grand! Luxurious, clean, comfy bed, modern amenities with everything we needed. Close to beautiful walking paths by the shore of Lake Tekapo which is the most gorgeous color of blue! Restaurants & a bit of shopping within short walking distance. Would stay again💕Dave was very kind & helpful 🥰

One of the best places to stay in the South Island. Excellent, attentive hosts.

We visited Tekapo just after the recent heavy snowfall. Although we had a bit of difficulty finding the complex due to the snow, once we got there we were very happy. Our apartment had a great view to the lake, it was spacious and warm. The owners were really friendly and helpful.

Our family stayed at Grand Suites during our holiday in June 2025 and it was the best choice we made. It was clean, comfy and made us feel at home the moment we stepped in. We loved it ! Highly recommend staying here in your next visit to Lake Tekapo !

From the moment we arrived, he made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Great location, very close to the lake — perfect after stargazing with no need to worry about a long trip back. The facilities are new and in excellent condition. The staff were exceptionally friendly. A special thanks to Justina, who provided great assistance in arranging everything I needed — she truly deserves a shout-out!

Grand Suites Lake Tekapo are very comfortable well maintained and serviced units. The unit was spotlessly clean and presented with great facilities and comfortable bed. The view from our unit was amazing looking out across Lake Tekapo and Mount John, beautiful.

We loved our time at Grand Suites Lake Tekapo. Lake Tekapo is such a beautiful and peaceful area. It is a very small town, but we loved our dinner at the Japanese restaurant and loved being able to walk there as well as the lake. The room was incredible, we loved the size and the kitchen with all the supplies. The check in was easy and the front desk receptionist was so kind and nice, she even sent our kids with a bottle of milk which was such a fun touch.

I have just enjoyed another stay at Grand Suites Tekapo and it has once again exceeded my expectations. Incredible room – so luxurious, friendly service, amazing views… I can’t wait to stay here again soon!

The setting is fantastic the rooms are fitted out like a 5-star hotel only you also get space and a well-equipped kitchen. (also very clean). Service was remarkable and the staff are super helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the area.

In addition to the amazing location (short walk to lake front, footbridge and church), the suite felt like a high-end home, with many small touches to make your stay relaxing and luxurious. The suite was very well-equipped. New construction, high-end appliances, tasteful furniture/ rugs/ decor, the whirlpool tub, multiple types of gourmet coffee, fresh milk at check-in were all appreciated. Although not directly on the lake, the view could not be beat. Our brief interactions with both the hosts at check-in and check-out were very pleasant. I wish there were more places to stay like Grand Suites in other parts of the world!

A streamlined, and efficient service – from enquiring about accommodation, to booking, through to check-in. The rooms were well furnished, and well serviced. Staff members encountered were friendly, informative and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable stay – looking forward to returning.

Clean, comfortable, great views and friendly, accommodating hosts. The location was great when the weather cleared in the morning and we were able to enjoy an early morning visit to the lake and Church of the Good Shepherd. We will hopefully visit again in better weather for stargazing. Many thanks.

Stayed for two nights, two couples, so we had a two bedroom unit. Check in was easy, payment was simple to split between the couples, and the unit was clean and well appointed for our needs. Great view out across the lake and all within 5 mins walking to the shops and church. If we get to Tekapo again we would stay here.

Overall the stay was great. Your suites are not only beautiful but very luxurious and well appointed. The only issue we had was the lack of communication regarding a planned power outage in which you decided not to use your back-up generator. This meant a sleepless night from 1am-5am as my wife’;s c-pap machine (which helps her breathing) was not able to function.
